FY13 Student Accident Insurance BrochureBrochure is Attached AYP Update: Graduation Rate Up!The State Department of Education recently released its list of schools identified as "in need of improvement" in accordance with NCLB. At the high school level, there are three primary indicators used to determine whether or not a school makes "annual yearly progress." Standardized test scores on the Fall NECAP tests (Reading & Math) are two of the indicators and the Graduation Rate is the third. At SHS, for the second year in a row, we have improved our graduation rate such that we are no longer identified for that indicator. Many thanks go to the hard working teachers, guidance counselors, and other support staff who embraced the idea that we cannot give up on students, and that all students can, and should, earn a diploma. While we still have work to do in Math and Reading, I am confident that the improvements we have already made plus the ones we are still making, will yield results in student performance in the coming years! Keep up the good work SHS!! Revised Calendar for 2012-2013 Now AvailableOn Monday, June 18th, the school board passed a revised calendar for next year. You can view or download the new school calendar from the District section of this website, or by clicking this link: 2012-2013 Calendar.
