My name is Glenn Drost and I am the Physical Education teacher at Elm Hill School.  I have been teaching for 32 years in the Springfield School District.  I teach students how to have healthy choices, how to be physically active, how to have healthy bodies, and how to have a healthy lifestyle.  I encourage students to get outside and do something acitive everyday. One program I have been doing for years now is the "JUMP ROPE FOR HEART" program.  Be looking for more information on that super program later in the year!  I am excited to teach your child for the year and I am looking forward to a great year! 

Students should come prepared with proper footwear for Physical Education classes.  Students have Physical Education classes twice a week for 30 to 40 minutes.  Students are expected to do their very best and try hard each class.  Students are encouraged to participate.  All students are working on our C.A.R.E rules: Cooperate, All are safe, Respect, and Enjoy Learning.  Most importantly, I teach students to play for fun and not for competition.  Students are encouraged to practice good sportsmanship and always support each other through the games we play. 

Get active and moving!  Go outside and do anything that is fun and gets you moving!  Have a healthy lifestyle!  Eat healthy and take care of your body, it's the only one you have!
